Paid-for financial advice (Tranche 2)
If the changes go ahead as proposed (following any feedback as part of this consultation), we will send out personalised option packs in August 2023 showing how much pension is payable under Pension A and Pension B. (If you opted out of receiving a pack, don’t worry – we won’t send one to you.)
Choosing which pension to take is an important decision, but you won’t have to make it alone.
The Company has appointed Origen Financial Services Limited (Origen), a regulated financial
adviser, to help you. They will be able to help you understand your options and whether or not to choose Pension B.
The Company will meet the cost of Origen’s advice – there will be no cost to you and no obligation to take their advice, though we strongly encourage you to consider their recommendation carefully.
If you live overseas
If you live overseas, Origen will only be able to give you generic guidance about the option, which will not be personal to you or your situation. They will not be able to give you a formal recommendation as to whether you should choose the Pension B option.
If you are a US Citizen, Origen will not be able to provide you with advice or guidance. We will provide more information in your offer pack.
Using your own adviser
You may also prefer to use your own financial adviser, in which case, you’d need to meet the cost of that advice.
You will not be able to take your Pension B option without taking suitable financial advice or
guidance.
More information on Origen and how to contact them will be provided in your option pack in August.
